The daughter of famous Texas pitmaster Bobby Mueller, LeAnn Mueller has made a name for herself in her own right in the hyper-competitive world of Texas barbecue. LeAnn and her wife Ali run la Barbecue in East Austin, which Texas Monthly has called “one of the state’s most highly regarded barbecue joints.” LeAnn and Ali, along with their pups Lilly, Mr. Pickles, Louie and Zoe, split their time between Austin and Los Angeles. I would say that photography gets overlooked, especially nowadays. Photography isn’t easy if you really know what you’re doing.

First, you must sell your soul. Then patience, dedication and consistency.

4. WHAT MAKES TEXAS BARBECUE SPECIAL?

Brisket. It’s one of the hardest meats to cook.

5. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE MORE OF IN THE AUSTIN CULINARY SCENE?

More Asian food!!!!!!

6. IF YOU COULD EAT ONE MEAL RIGHT NOW FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

It would be Dim Sum at the Four Seasons in Hong Kong. Hands down. Amazing.
